hunt for the perfect boot

Hunter, everyone's favorite wellies, have finally graduated into the realm of leather. both the mens and womens lines have a bunch of styles, ankle and knee boots...and best part is they're WATER RESISTANT! which means you no longer have to look like a fisherman when you walk the streets on a rainy day. i just wouldn't recommend you jump into any puddles.

introducing....redsprinkle.com!

i was priviledged to be invited to the launch party on the 17th, for the newest edition to the internet. it was hosted at the posh, Artfully Chocolate Kingsbury Confections, "chocolate bar", who also sponsored the event with tons of little goodies for the guests from chocolate sculpted pumps to red velvet cupcakes with decorative letter R's. there were laptops set up for people to peruse the new site as well as body forms dressed in examples of some of the dresses offered online.

its quite possibly the cutest online boutique for vintage clothing. it has a fresh way of attacking how to shop. instead of shopping by "dresses", "jeans" and "tops", onliners shop by what the occasion is such as "9-5", "happy hour" or "nighlife". how cute is that??? perfect for us dc socialites, right?

Happy Hour

georgina chapman is no one to mess with. i could explain her collection in three words: glamorous, classic, perfection. but why use words, when the pictures speak much louder. i'd gladly give up my firstborn and right arm for one of these pieces.

if for no other reason but to exclaim how much i enjoyed the sporty, football-esqe collection that alex completely nailed...i had to do a close up on him. the intricate usage of high socks/calf leggings, boxy shoulders and loose, manly sweatshirts juxtaposed with bustiers, sheer material and soft neutrals completely captured the tomboy and the girlie girl in me.

i feel like Dennis deserves an award for "the epitome of spring" this season. its an insanely feminine collection (surprised i like it? lol). he compiles muted neutrals that contrast with splashes of watercolor palettes. rough looking snakeskin mixed with soft ruffles. lacy thigh highs and demure cocktail gowns. and of course...where would his collection be without dashes of fur? but the iridescent dresses combined with the floral patterns had to be my absolute favorite. i have to commend anyone who puts out a collection that is gorgeous, innovative and yet still WEARABLE for the everyday woman. three cheers for Dennis!

possibly the UGLIEST jeans ever

seriously. i dont really have many words for this abomination. all i can say is... dont do it to yourself.

need a bucket? the vomit has to go somewhere...

rep your school

i miss the good ole college days. when you could decide whether or not you felt like showing up to class, walk around in ur pajamas and party every night of the week. cue Asher Roth...

ok, where was i? oh yeah, so in honor of the "walking around in your pjs" mantra, i have to give kudos to Victoria's Secret PINK line for allowing me to relive my young-adulthood. they have a whole line of hoodies, tees and sweats for any girl to look cute in to go to class (or wear to the alumni football games, if you've already graduated). Here's some of the local teams they have so far:

but what about the rest of the DMV, Vicky? i was VERY disappointed to see they didnt have George Washington or even Georgetown. Slippin on their day jobs, I guess. HOWEVER, I was pleased to see MY undergrad was on there. LET'S GO PITT! :)
